He is an honors graduate of Ole Miss and attended the University of Missouri Medical School. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Luber completed an AO International Orthopaedic Surgery fellowship in York, England. Following this, he finished an accredited fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and the Tulane Institute for Sports Medicine. During Dr. Luber's residency, he trained in all major aspects of orthopaedic surgery. His experience included joint replacement, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, trauma and musculoskeletal tumors. While completing his residency and fellowship he had extensive experience in sports medicine. He served as Jackson State Universities team orthopedic surgeon and cared for the athletes of the New Orleans Saints, Ole Miss, Tulane, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, Millsaps, and Belhaven Universities. Dr. Luber has a special interest in sports injuries and arthroscopic reconstruction. He has published numerous articles and chapters in the field of Orthopaedics in addition to presenting at national and international meetings. Dr. Luber was selected by his colleagues as a member of the American Orthopedic Association Emerging Leaders Program. He is Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Mississippi Orthopaedic Society. He serves on the medical staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi.
